Dr. Tatev Davtyan is an Associate Professor of Law at Yerevan State University (YSU), a licensed attorney in New York and Armenia, and Senior Vice President of Legal & Compliance at One Planet Group, a San Francisco-based private equity firm specializing in online technology and media businesses. She specializes in IT law, AI governance, emerging technologies, and intellectual property law.
Dr. Davtyan holds a Ph.D. in Law from YSU and an M.A. in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution from Georgetown University Law Center. She has also earned a Distinction in AI Policy from the Center for AI and Digital Policy (CAIDP), reflecting her expertise in AI law, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
With extensive experience in legal consulting, she has collaborated with organizations such as the U.S. Department of State, USAID, CRDF Global, the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, and the World Bank. She has played a key role in shaping AI governance, data protection, and cybersecurity regulations, alongside leading justice sector reforms in Armenia, including prison monitoring, court digitization, and anti-corruption initiatives.
At One Planet Group, Dr. Davtyan advises on M&A transactions, investment portfolios, global compliance, and regulatory matters, overseeing strategic acquisitions and corporate finance operations.
